“Dirty Deeds” (2002) MA15+

It is 1969 and business is booming for Barry Ryan, a Sydney crime boss. But things get a bit complicated- personally and professionally –when the Chicago Mafia come to town and try to muscle their way in. Ryan soon finds himself fending off the trigger-happy "yanks", outback-style, while also contending with his feisty wife, needy mistress, and a crooked cop. It's fast, funny and full of action.
We welcome our Guest Speaker Andrew Banks, a former Victorian Police Sergeant. He was initially trained as a Crime Scene Photographer and then progressed to a Crime Scene Examiner position. He served a total of 16 years at the State Forensic Science Laboratory. The Laboratory was responsible for major crime investigations across the state.

This is an action packed adventure tale retelling the story of the "Mutiny on the Bounty. "
Hopkins stars as William Bligh, the sea captain who in 1789, steered ‘The Bounty’ on the long journey to Tahiti. Mel Gibson stars as Fletcher Christian, the leader of the mutineers.
(William Bligh was later appointed Governor of the Colony of New South Wales in Australia, with orders to clean up the corrupt rum trade of the New South Wales Corp. His actions directed against the trade resulted in the so-called Rum Rebellion )

“The True Story of Spit McPhee”
Stars Philip Hancock, Sir John Mills, Elspeth Ballantyne, Rebecca Smart, Ray Meagher, & Paul Chubb.
Made in CHILTERN in 1987 and shown on Channel 9 as a 4 part TV mini series. Marcus Cole, who was the Director, will be our guest speaker. "When young Spit McPhee came to live with his grandfather, the people of the Australian country town of St. Helens feared for his future. For Fyfe McPhee was a crazy old man. Barefoot Spit had to fend for himself along the riverbank where they lived - and when old Fyfe died after one of his 'turns', a fierce battle to decide Spit's destiny begins”.

Cost: $120 for the day course includes all ingredients, supplies & workshop notes
It’s a hands-on, fun cheese making workshop. Learn how to create delicious cheeses in your own home. Learn several basic cheese making techniques. It is not a difficult process and does not require a lot of equipment.
Make Blue Cheese OR Swiss style cheese as the main cheese. Two other cheeses to be made on the day could be Labne, Paneer, Quarg, Mascarpone, Ricotta cheese, cream cheese or sour cream.
Please register your interest and let us know the type of cheeses you would like to make as well as the preferred day.
